Get to Know Your Neighbors!

A great way to get to know birds that may live around your home is to read a field guide to birds! The more local your guide is the better!

1.

Find a good guide - either a book or a website and have fun flipping through, getting a good idea of who your neighbors might be!

2.

If you want to really get to know them, in your journal, draw 5 common birds.

 

3.

Then look up the sound of their calls and write what they sound like next to the picture! You can also practice making those same sounds yourself - this is a great way to learn them!
